Djuke Veldhuis is an anthropologist and science writer based at the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) at Aarhus University in Denmark. Her Ph.D. research examined the effects of rapid socioeconomic change on the health and well-being of people in Papua New Guinea. Veldhuis is passionate about science communication, public engagement with science, and citizen science initiatives.
