Travis Warren Cooper is a social anthropologist and ethnographer of the American Midwest. He received a dual Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, in anthropology and religious studies, and lectures at Butler University in Indianapolis. He is a research fellow with Lived Religion in the Digital Age, a project hosted by St. Louis University and supported by the Henry Luce Foundation. Cooper is currently at work on two book projects: The Digital Evangelicals: Contesting Authority and Authenticity After the New Media Turn and Synecdoche, Columbus: An Anthropology of a Modern Architectural Experiment.
