Kristin Hedges is an applied medical anthropologist who studies how understanding cultural constructions of illness is essential for successful health intervention campaigns. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona and is currently an assistant professor at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. She is drawn to questions of structural vulnerability and how local contexts impact health and healing.
