Liviu Chelcea is a professor at the University of Bucharest. In 2004, he received a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, and he has written on time, work, and acceleration; kinship and houses; infrastructures and citizenship; deindustrialization and materiality; socialist housing nationalization; the material culture of shortage; and the politics of car parking in Romania.
