Stewart Bruce Koyiyumptewa, a member of the Hopi Tribe and the Badger clan, is from the village of Hotevilla in northeastern Arizona. He is currently the archivist and ethnohistorian for the Hopi Tribe’s Cultural Preservation Office. Koyiyumptewa is engaged in a variety of projects: recording Hopi oral history, conducting ethnographic research, and doing collaborative work with universities, museums, libraries, and state and federal governments. Aside from his work, Koyiyumptewa is actively involved in the Hopi culture as a husband, father, and farmer.
