Whitney L. Duncan is a medical and psychological anthropologist who researches the social, cultural, and global aspects of mental health. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego, and is currently an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Northern Colorado. Her book about the globalization of psychology and psychiatry, and their impacts on southern Mexico, is due out next year from Vanderbilt University Press.
