Heath Cabot is a sociocultural anthropologist who studies refugees, human rights, and access to health care in Greece. In 2010, she received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and she is now an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the author of On the Doorstep of Europe: Asylum and Citizenship in Greece (2014). Her current project, which has been funded by the Fulbright Program, is on austerity, community-based health care, and solidarity movements in Greece.
